Betting On Himself.
Phil Reilly is an experienced bid and business development professional. After 13 years of working in the industry, he decided it was time to strike out on his own.
Phil was in need of an original logo and brand identity for this new venture, with the idea of first class service at the core.
It Started With A Name.
Phil's chosen name was Princeps, meaning "first" or "foremost" in Latin. The company was founded on the belief that everyone has the potential to win more business with the help of first-class bid services.
It was important to the client that the name, logo and values all conveyed this core ethos - putting clients first.
Concept Development.
Taking into account the historical source of the name, I developed four themed concepts - each with a slightly different vibe and focus.
Key to the design was a logo mark that works at all scales, from favicons to banners. In addition, Phil was keen that the colours used communicated the first-class premium service he provides.
Finalised Design.
The chosen design harkens back to the Roman pillar design, in particular the Ionic design easily recognised by the decorative scroll design.
Although, not my personal favourite of the concepts - Phil was delighted with the results. He was pleased to have had a hand in the design process and really felt ownership over this new identity.
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
"Fantastic team! Helped me get my branding and website for my business up and running. David and Calum made the process simple which was perfect for the limited time I had!"

Website Design.
Alongside a new branding pack, Phil wanted a simple website design to launch with his new business.
As it was important for Phil that he could update and manage the website himself, I opted to use a user-friendly website builder for easy edits down the line.
As Phil met most of his clients through face to face networking events, he wanted just a simple landing page - highlighting Phil's expertise, the services Princeps offer, and how to get in touch.
